Claude Code got a real upgrade this week, and Projects is the one to pay attention to. Think of it this way: before Projects, using Claude Code to build something complex was like giving a contractor a to-do list that disappeared every time they stepped off the job site. Now you describe what needs doing once, Claude breaks the work into parallel threads running in the cloud on separate branches, and it keeps going after you close your laptop. For owners building internal tools or automations, that's a genuine shift. Also new: Claude Design, Slides, and the Docs tool all work inside Claude Code from the same session, so you're not bouncing between apps to produce a mockup and the doc that explains it.
